What a foolish Questions, my GOD!

What to define Life with? What should the definition hold?

Life is all what you want it to be.

Be what you want to be and not whom you want to be. But the most important thing here is that, it is very difficult to be others, whereas it is easy to be us.

What it is to be us. Have we ever been ourselves?
Might be might be not. Some times, we are we and other times, perhaps, most of the times we try to lead others life, I mean we are acting or imitating. Imitation is the highest form of art. But life is not art to imitate and it is to live. Imitation is only for the arts.

This differentiation is important: the differentiation between acting and living. The former case, you are acting like others, where you can do better as you are.

Do we know what we are?
The most difficult question amongst all in the questions of life is to answer this Question. Think independently, don’t turn into a saint, but try to answer this question to your self. A little bit of philosophy is always necessary.

If you define yourself, others are just pieces that fit together in the puzzle called life. But the others are very difficult pieces to find in us. The other important pieces are about what you want to do, and what you do.

Your life is formed mainly by who you are. What else are the parts of it?
I believe in two things, as answers for these. "What you do?” remember this forms the most important piece of life as I have said earlier. The second most important thing is "What you do, apart from what you are doing?” The second question is the extrapolation of the former and to break the monotony in life of doing one that that we want to in "What we do?" (The first Question) we also have to answer the above second question, only to digress from that harmony and not to break it.

Have we answered the first "What we do?" NO! But, if we have defined it, are we doing that. If we are doing that, are we answering the non-trivial second question?

Life, they say is full of compromises. But, are we to compromise? All can be answered if you define your life, which is a circular riddle, going cycles, and yet we don’t know how to come out. The most important thing required to answer is: The sense of WANTING.

When you say, you want and you are doing that what you want, you are living, else you are either existing or surviving this life. When you define your life, see to that you do that, do what you want. Or else, you shall not live but be a victim of the other two.

Mediocrity and What it is?

Statesmen despise publicists, painters despise art-critics, and physiologists, physicists, or mathematicians have usually similar feelings: here is no scorn more profound, or on the whole more justifiable, than that of the men who make for the men who explain. Exposition, criticism, appreciation, is work for second-rate minds.

This statement, hit bang on my head. It hit my head so hard. I feel this is not enough. This is the explanation of mediocrity in the best form, I have ever read. Are WE? This is the question in my mind...
Exposition, Criticism, appreciation all these are work for the second rate minds. Then what is the work of the first rate minds?
Creation. What else?
Come on men think. Think high. Think bright. Think as though this is the first time you are. Think as though you have thought like this never before. Intake, digest, assimilate it and put it in your sub-conscience mind that " I am a first rate mind "
Don’t let dreams come down. Don’t shatter them. See others dreams, thought they couldn’t be communicated. Dreams don’t come true just alone by dreaming. Follow the Yellow Brick road, and you shall meet the wizard of Oz. who is the Wizard? It’s you, and who else can it be.
Are we to continue this mediocrity, waste life in this earth for such puny things? What is a puny thing? Puny, it may seem, and yet what we are doing here, I mean, in India, We serve others, rather than ourselves and our family and our country. I believe this is mediocrity. Because of this we come to the conclusion that we don’t have time.
Remember the Mayonees jar. Spend time for the most important things in the world. This world is ours for us to make. This world is ours for us to create. This world is ours for us to live. We rule this world. Don’t fret nor fume, this is what is called attitude.
Attitude and thoughts shape the future. Don’t be escapists. Escapist, try to live the situation and to the current needs.
If you think we are a society, we are. If you don’t think so, we are not.
I know you all are busy. I am very busy. But always I remember the Mayonees jar.
Great minds discuss ideas
Average minds discuss events
Small minds discuss people.
What kind of mind do we possess? Pooh! What a Question is this? We can say; it is the future that matter. But remember, it’s the past that tells who you are.
With broken heart and yet full of determination and ambition, I conclude.    

I Thought it was still a OPEN Problem!

To the amazing fact that the problem of finding whether a given number is prime or not was thought by me to be a open problem. For reference just search the internet. A good source of discussion is Prof. Donald Knuth's landmark text book, "The Art of Computer Programming." This is available for purchase at Amazon.com or Firstandsecond.com (for Indians).

I thought till this minute it was open. Indians (Hip! Hip! Hurray!) have solved the problem. Students and professor of IITK/CSE department have together solved this problem.

What is this problem? "To find whether a given number n is prime or not by an Algorithm." This is the primary problem, but to add proficiency to it; we have to look into an associated problem, whether the problem is solvable in Polynomial time.

Till date I thought it was a trans-computational problem. But the amazing fact is that it has been solved in the year 2002 by Prof. Manidra Agarwal and two of his students, Nitin Saxena and Neeraj Kayal. These student will, I think, bring India's part in Galileo's idea one step further. But how is it possible? Yes, these students are forming another gemstone in the necklace to India, They have enrolled for Ph.D. at IITK. So, we still have hope to march along with the world with our heads high. The "Prime is in P" paper is available online. Before u try to view the contents of the paper, or try reading it, please find the amazing facts about the problem. The more you have the feel about the problem, the more you start liking it and more better it is to enjoy the fruition.

Galileo & INDIA

"People dont plan to fail, they fail to plan." This is the most suited philosophy to explain the younger youth generations of INDIA. Students these days want to earn money. They fail to realize that a good job is not the only way to earn money.
Its the vision of Galileo that drives discovery today. Its the vision and realization of things around us is all that matters. View this... "There is no dark side of the moon, Matter of fact Its all dark." This is a great thought, but not by a scientist. How do great people (as we call them) invent or discover. Is it their imagination; might be, but the most important thing is the vision to see it. Take Issac Newton as an example. Apple had to fall in his head to say "You fool, there is gravity and that is why i fall." Newton had accepted to few of his friends that, he knew there was gravity, but he did not know how it worked. Its all the vision and realization of the material world that matters.
So, what was Galileo's dreams? He said "We can explain the way the universe works."
Where are we? This is the most important question to be asked. With the decline of persons taking pure science there is a back drop in the growth of pure science by INDIANS in INDIA. All aspiring for professional courses, for nothing but to earn money. Scientist and Inventors too can earn money. How? IP's ofcourse. So why people forget to note that. Lack of exposure.
What was in Pure Math 50 years ago is in Engineering now - a - days. Want a proof? The best that can be offered is Computer Science.
Very few bright Mathematicians for INDIA in the future, so we need to depend on others for knowledge.
Very few bright Physicists for INDIA in the future, so we need to depend on others to discover the natural philosophy.
Very few bright Chemists for INDIA in the future, so we neeed to depend on others to discover the nature of materials.
Very few bright Economists for INDIA in the future, so we need to depend on others to shape our economy.
Very few bright Socialists for INDIA in the future, so we need to depend on others to thing about our society.
Where are we headed? Lacking this is like not having Ramanujams, C.V. Ramans, Hargobind Khuranas, Amartya Sens and more. So we have to depend on Hilberts, Einsteins others of this kind. Shame!
This ultimately means one thing. Less contribution from future INDIA to fulfill Galileo's dreams.

P.S. India was the greatest cradle of Civilization. But its history.

Palindrome is the day I start

The days of me in IIT are over. Splendid stay in the campus.
All is not lost. The Memories remain here, but all in tranquillity. Rejoicing my Stay back in my house. I am flowing with emotions and so am i here to explode it. Words that aint come out right impede this hour, so shall all be this merry start. Happy New Year.
